We collect or obtain information about you:

when you provide it to us by contacting us, submitting a form on our website, booking a call with us, or signing up to our newsletter
from your use of our website, using cookies and similar technologies
through the platforms and service providers we use to host and operate our website and our marketing

Information we collect may include: your name, your email address, your telephone number, your job title and employer, your IP address, information about how you use our website, and the approximate geographical location from which you accessed our website, based on your IP address.

For the purposes of online advertising, some service and social media providers, particularly Google, LinkedIn and Meta, do not provide us with any personal or specific data about you, but they do use what they know about you in order to present our advertising to you online after you have visited our website.

How we use your information

For as long as we have access to your personal data, we will use it for the following purposes, unless otherwise required as a result of you exercising your data protection rights.

To provide you with our products and services in accordance with our contract with you.
To process your payment for our products and services.
To provide you with information that you request from us, or to respond to your enquiries made directly to us.
To arrange, confirm and manage calls and meetings that you book with us.
To prepare and send you direct marketing, unless you ask us to stop. This consists of online advertising directed to you via our service providers, or direct correspondence with you containing relevant information about products and services that we provide. This also includes selecting or de-selecting you for each of our direct marketing initiatives.
To provide us with information about how you use our website, so that we and our service providers can review that information and ensure the website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your devices, and that it is an effective sales and communication tool.
To take legal or administrative action, including to collect debts, resolve disputes with you, and deal with regulators.
To contact you by email. We will ask for your consent and will not contact you by email for marketing purposes if you have specifically withheld or withdrawn your consent to this.

The service providers we use

We use a number of third party platforms to run our website and our business. Some of these platforms collect or process personal data about you on our behalf. The current list is set out below. We update this list when our tooling changes.

Lovable

Our website is built and hosted using Lovable, a website building and hosting platform provided by Lovable Labs Incorporated. Lovable processes personal data on our behalf as part of hosting our website and serving it to you. This includes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you visit and the times you visit them, collected automatically as part of the operation and security of the site. Where you submit information to us through a form on our website, that information passes through Lovable's infrastructure before it reaches us. Lovable acts as a data processor and processes this data in accordance with our instructions and its own privacy policy, available at lovable.dev/privacy.

Calendly

We use Calendly to allow you to book calls with us. When you book a call, Calendly collects your name, your email address, any information you enter into the booking form, and the details of the meeting you book. Calendly acts as a data processor on our behalf. Its privacy policy is available at calendly.com/privacy.

Kit

We use Kit, formerly ConvertKit, to manage our email list and send our newsletter and other marketing emails. Kit stores your name, your email address, your subscription preferences, and data about how you interact with our emails, such as whether you opened them or clicked a link. Its privacy policy is available at kit.com/privacy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information including your IP address, which is truncated before storage, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and how you arrived at our website. This information is aggregated and we do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising and social platforms

We use LinkedIn, Meta and Google advertising services to promote our business. These platforms may use cookies and similar technologies on our website to measure the performance of our advertising and to show our advertising to you elsewhere. Each of these platforms acts as a data controller in its own right in relation to that activity, and their own privacy policies apply.

Podcast and video platforms

Our podcast and video content is hosted on YouTube, Spotify and other third party platforms. Where we embed that content on our website, the platform in question may set cookies and collect information about you. Each platform acts as a data controller in its own right and its own privacy policy applies.

Our internal systems

We use Google Workspace for email, file storage and collaboration. Personal data you send us by email, or that we hold in our records, is stored within Google Workspace.

Disclosure of your information to third parties

For as long as we have access to your personal data, we may share any of it with any of the following, to the extent that they need access to it in order to perform their role:

Any employee or contractor within our organisation.
Our IT service providers, who provide, maintain, improve, manage, optimise or fix the IT facilities that we use or rely on in our business, including computing devices, computer networks, connectivity, telecommunications, software and our website. This includes the providers named in the section above.
Our online service providers, who provide networking opportunities, information about networking groups, and marketing and advertising placement services for us. This includes providers of search engines, analytics services, behavioural marketing services, advertisement placement services, social media and online software applications.
Our professional service providers, such as accountants, auditors, legal advisers and insurance brokers.
Where you are a candidate, and only with your prior agreement, the client organisation we are introducing you to.
Any third party company or companies in the event that we go through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another person or company, or selling a portion of our assets.

We reserve the right to disclose your personal data to other third parties if we have lawful grounds to do so, or are under a legal obligation to disclose or share it, or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Tick Talent or our employees or subcontractors.

We do not sell your information to third parties, other than in the course of a business sale or purchase or similar event.

How long we retain your information

We retain your information for no longer than necessary, taking into account any legal obligations we have, for example to maintain records for tax purposes, and any other legal basis we have for using your information, such as your consent, performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interests as a business.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies on our website, including essential, functional, analytical and targeting cookies. You can control cookies through the cookie banner presented to you when you first visit our website, and by changing your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect how our website works for you.

How to withhold personal data

You can control all of our sources of your personal data. You can:

provide less personal data than we request
use our website to tell us to stop contacting you with our marketing
not respond to our marketing and communications, and you also have rights to stop our direct marketing to you, set out below
change your settings and connections in the social networks that you use

Transfers of your information outside the United Kingdom

Some of the service providers we use are established outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. This means your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from those countries.

Where we transfer personal data outside the United Kingdom, we do so on the basis of one of the following safeguards:

the country in question is covered by UK adequacy regulations
the recipient is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is in the United States
we have put in place the International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, with the recipient

When we use social networks, our use and yours is subject to each social network provider's terms and conditions and policies, which may state that the provider will store your personal data outside the United Kingdom. Please refer to each provider and their terms and conditions and policies.

We have taken reasonable steps to put in place appropriate security measures to protect your personal data when it is processed by us or on our behalf.

We do not accept any responsibility for the policies of third party data controllers, such as providers of search engines and social networks. Your use of such third parties, their websites and services is at your own risk. Please check their privacy notices before you submit any personal data to them.

Your rights in relation to your information

You have the right:

to access your information and to receive information about its use
to have your information corrected or completed
to have your information deleted
to restrict the use of your information
to receive your information in a portable format
to object to the use of your information
to withdraw your consent to the use of your information

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes, including profiling. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send you, or by emailing us directly at r.washington@tick-talent.com.

In accordance with Article 77 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy from time to time. If it changes in any way, we will place an updated version on our website.
